Behind the art:
This design “faceless) started as a black and white ink on paper piece of a face that looks asleep, kinda lifeless, like it’s there but not really present. I called it Faceless because it represents how I see big corporations: cold, without personality, authenticity, or real human energy behind them.
It’s that feeling of walking into a system that’s all logos and rules but without soul, it’s just repetition and conformity. The face has no colour because there’s no life in it. It’s a quiet protest against the idea of being part of something that’s lost its humanity.
For me, skating and art are the opposite of that, they’re raw, personal, unpredictable. So I feel strongly against how corporate the skate industry has become, because it means it’s become so inaccessible to the aspiring skate community. Faceless is about keeping that individuality alive in a world that tries to flatten it.
