BBC Coverage of Bassé and EKH-O

Last week, BBC Suffolk invited me to be interviewed on the radio, which swiftly lead to a full article being released on Sunday. This is the first piece of coverage I as an artist, and my arty skate brand, EKH-O, has ever recieved, so this is a very exciting email to write! It tells the story of how Maggi Hambling, my hero, the reason I kept going, told me to take off the mask and reveal my true identity. I had spent years being anonymous , exhibiting at art shows only in venetian masks, but because of the incredible opportunity I received with meeting her and inviting her to look at my artwork (in my house!) I am now fully myself (but still under the name Bassé). This has now of course lead to an internationally selling skateboard brand, EKH-O, which I only launched last July. All boards contain my artwork and my artwork only! But these are no longer just for hanging on the wall, these are made to be skated. As a result, I sponsor 4 very talented skaters and sell all over the world!
UPCOMING ART EXHIBITION 2026
I would also like to announce that I will be having another solo art exihbiition this year in Clare, Suffolk, at the old goods shed in Clare Country Park on the 21st-22nd November, with the opening night being on the 20th November at 6pm, of which you're all invited. Last years theme was 'Souls for Salaries', this years collection will be themed 'Schoolboy errors of conformity'. There will of course be an entire corner dedicated to EKH-O. This will be instead of coming to the Christmas market this year, but I will be supplying mulled wine nonetheless.
